Braised Bamboo ShootsCourse: Appetizers
1 15 oz. can boiled bamboo shoots tips, rinsed and drained and cut lengthwise into quarters
1-inch rock sugar
1 tablespoon rice wine
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Add the bamboo shoots, rock sugar, rice wine, soy sauce, dark soy sauce and 1/2 cup water to a small pot.
- Over high heat, bring ingredients to a boil and cook over medium heat for about twenty minutes or until the liquid is reduced.
- Serve on a plate and drizzle with the sesame oil.
